Fascinating piece. What resonated with me—both here and in "What Is Intelligence?"—is how the “gap” isn’t just architectural (brain vs. machine), but structural: intelligence seems to emerge around limits, frictions, and non-optimizable residues rather than smooth scaling.

I’ve been exploring this question from a complementary angle—looking at failure, remainder, and constraint as constitutive of intelligence rather than defects. Curious whether you see these limits as something AI must approximate, or something it must fundamentally lack.
